Category 1 – E-poster competition for bachelor and master students worldwide
General
- This competition is applicable only to bachelor and master students
- The student can present their research works related to (but not limited to) the following topics:
- Modeling of composites
- Additive manufacturing
- Damage & failure of composite
- Repair of composites
- Composite in aerospace & automotive
- Composites in oil and gas
- Composite and Industry 4.0
- Fatigue of composites
- Manufacturing of composites
- Textile composites
- Structural health monitoring
- Synthesis of fibers and matrix
- Fiber and matrix interface
- Composite-based soft robotics
- Joining of composites
- Natural fiber composites
- etc.
- Presenters must provide PDF slide of e-poster (one page only) and pre-recorded video (running for max. 5 min, made in *.mp4 format)
- The pre-recorded video must contain their speech and PDF slides of their research
- E-poster should be maximum one page in landscape orientation with clear images (72 or 96 dpi in *.jpg or *.png); font should be formatted to be visible from one meter away
- General advice for font size: It is advisable that the E-poster can also displayed on-screen with a minimum 24-32 point size for body text. This is to ensure an optimal legibility from the usual distance of 3-5 ft.

- We will upload the pre-recorded video on YouTube
- Prior to submitting the video, the student must submit a signed form indicating that his/her supervisor/professor and he/she are consent with the recording and uploading activities (the form is attached at the bottom of this page).
- Link to the PDF slides and video will be posted in the e-poster tab of conference website.
E-poster competition process and prize
- E-posters will be judged by a panel during the conference
- Winner of the best e-poster will be announced during closing ceremony on May 27, 2021
- Prize: Winner of the best e-poster is eligible to visit COHMAS Laboratory at KAUST, Saudi Arabia, with all costs covered
Category 2 – E-poster from researchers and professionals
General
- This competition is applicable only to researchers and professionals
- The person who is interested to participate can send an abstract to Ms. Huiping Chen (huiping.chen@kaust.edu.sa) before May 1, 2021
- Abstract should be in MS Word format (1 page maximum) and includes a clear title, name of authors, affiliation, main text and references. Main text is limited to 300 words, and contains 1 picture maximum (not mandatory)
- We will then evaluate the abstract, and provide the decision for the acceptance by May 9, 2021
Presentation
- Presenters must provide PDF slides of E-poster
- Each presenter is given max. 5 min to present his/her e-poster in a LIVE format
- One-hour session during the conference will be dedicated to host this e-poster session

Category 3 – E-poster and demo from COHMAS Laboratory
General
- Presenters must provide a pre-recorded video (running for max. 8 min, made in *.mp4 format)
- The pre-recorded video must contain their speech and PDF slides of their research
